When creating care plans around. a child’s needs a sound therapeutic needs assessment enables us to find a clear direction forwards. Therapeutic needs assessments take into account their early life experiences, neurodevelopment, current presentation and attachment relationships. They may also include a cognitive assessment when indicated.
