Growing up in family who fostered children I began to understand the impact of early trauma at a young age. In my early career I worked in a specialised therapeutic home for children who had experienced sexual abuse. This gave me a unique understanding of what it is like to work on the ground of a therapeutic residential community. Alongside my doctorate in Clinical Psychology, I hold a degree in therapeutic child care and am a qualified EMDR therapist.
